Our experienced RTHC team boasts over 50 years of combined experience in the healthcare and business sectors, derived from government, non-government, military, and humanitarian work. Having lived and worked in the NT for over a decade, we have established strong relationships with primary healthcare clinics and rural and remote communities. These connections have allowed us to provide evidence-based health insights and expertise to benefit the community.
RTHC’s Lead Nurse Practitioner, Kylie Straube, is a published author of numerous research articles focusing on understanding the social determinants of health.
We proudly align ourselves with the Menzies School of Indigenous Health Research and collaborate on studies to improve health outcomes for regional and remote Territorians.
Additionally, we actively seek affiliations with Charles Darwin University, Central Queensland University and James Cook University to support the education journey of Registered Nursing students.
Our Nurse Practitioners bring a wealth of expertise in Mental Health, Primary Health, Gerontology, and Rural and Remote Health, backed by multiple Master’s Degrees and a history of peer-reviewed research publications. They empower individuals to take control of their well-being.
Behind our exceptional practitioners stands a support team well-versed in various essential disciplines, including mental health first aid, trauma support, general nursing, aged care, and disability support, ensuring a holistic approach to healthcare delivery.
